FAST-LRN.DOC
Because this program is far more involved in producing mailing labels than
anything you have ever seen, we suggest you run the 'FAST-LRN.DOC' before you
commence learning how to operate the BARLABEL program. Then you will appreciate
the fact that this program can reduce your postage bill, whether first-class or
bulk mail, and get better results from your mailing lists for you or your mail-
list customers, and agree with us that it is the 'simplest program' you ever
ran.
1. FAST-LRN.DOC is designed to show you that this program is 'more' than
just another mailing label program.
2. Place 2-3 sheets of paper in your printer, as labels will not print on
screen. Place disk in A:drive (if you desire hd) Turn on computer, and printer,
then type 'BARLABEL' ret.
3. Type 'SETUP' ret., type 'PRINTER', choose a printer, go back to 'SETUP'
choose 'FILETYPE' ret., NOTE:Program will print labels from a .DBF, SDF, AND TXT
FILE (See BARLABEL.DOC for more detail on files)
4. Type 'FILES' (There 3 sample files of 5 records each, data is same in
each to show you program treats all the same), type 'DIR' ret., then type 'LOAD'
and type in your choice.
5. TYPE 'PRINT' ret., type 'ALIGN' if you wish to see what happens, but not
for the quickie. TYPE 'PRINT', ret., and now you know why we call this program
"BARLABEL".
6. Please use 'WANT.LST' FOR 'SUGGESTIONS, AND OR COMPLAINTS' AND RETURN AS
SOON AS POSSIBLE SO WE MAKE PROPER CHANGES, THANK YOU THE DATA FACTORY.
